Findex acquires Brisbane-based accounting firm
BusinessThe move is part of Findex's broader strategy to expand its national footprint.
The Findex Brisbane office will be joined by 29 professionals from accounting and advisory firm Carthills this month, who will enhance local market insight, scale and reach.
Founded in 1990 by three former Touche Ross partners following the merger that created KPMG, Carthill's services include accounting, tax, financial planning, risk and insurance, self-managed superannuation funds, and audit services. The team of almost thirty is now led by Neil McLennan, Robert Carius, Heather Logue and Matt Fish.
Findex co-chief executive, Tony Roussos, welcomed Carthills to the Findex network, and said the partnership represented genuine relationships and a commitment to helping clients and communities thrive.
“Our vision is to continue partnering with very high-calibre firms that share our purpose of empowering clients, communities and our advisors to thrive.”
“The Carthills team have built a reputation for technical excellence and deep client trust and values that mirror our own. Together, we strive to deliver exceptional outcomes for clients through collaboration, innovation and professional integrity.”
Carthills partner, Neil McLennan, said the opportunity only reaffirmed the firm’s values: “We see this as a continuation of the way we’ve always done business. Our clients will continue to be supported by the same trusted advisors they know, who will now be backed by a national network of expertise and resources.”
Findex will have over 200 advisors across Queensland, which, according to Roussos, “allows us to better support both existing and new clients in one of the country’s strongest-performing economies.”
The 29 professionals joining Findex add decades of experience across accounting and financial advisory services, skills more relevant in, according to the provider, increasingly complex regulatory and economic environments.
Roussos added: “By attracting and integrating high-performing teams who bring specialised expertise, intimate knowledge of the local communities and deep client understanding, we’re able to provide higher-quality, yet locally grounded advice that is specific to the needs of our clients.”
