MYOB appoints new chief product officer
AppointmentsThe tech company has welcomed its latest chief product officer to its ranks to oversee its product strategy and vision.
MYOB has appointed Deepesh Banerji (pictured) as chief product officer, commencing in November 2026, when he will initially focus on services for sole operators, small businesses, accountants and bookkeepers.
Banerji joins MYOB after serving at tech company Deputy for seven years, where he was most recently chief product officer.
He has also served in senior roles at Beem, five years as vice president of product at Paramount, and engineering positions at BlackBerry and SAP.
Banerji has over 26 years of experience in product, engineering, and technology leadership, and has deep experience in building products and teams in high-growth technology businesses.
He completed an MBA at Fordham University in New York, and previously attained a Bachelor of Mathematics at the University of Waterloo in Canada.
“For 35 years MYOB has been trusted to help more Australian and New Zealand businesses start, survive and succeed. Deepesh brings significant experience and a clear understanding of what it takes to build and innovate products that create lasting value for small business owners, accountants and bookkeepers,” said Paul Robson, chief executive at MYOB.
“I’m pleased to welcome him to MYOB and look forward to the contribution he will make as we continue to grow our solutions for local SMEs,” Robson said.
This follows MYOB expanding access to its AI business activity statement (BAS) tool in September, providing users with access to MYOB financial insights in their Claude and ChatGPT accounts in August, rolling the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower initiative across its Australian and New Zealand offices in June, entering an AI partnership with Microsoft in April, and its launch of three new AI experiences for its Acumatica platform in November of last year.
