The Australian Accounting Awards 2026, now in its 13th year, recognises the leading tax professionals and firms driving the accounting profession to new heights. Since its inception, this unparalleled awards program has showcased leading practitioners across the accounting profession.

Run in partnership with principal partner MYOB, the awards present an exciting opportunity for all professionals and businesses operating across Australia to be recognised.

Submit an entry or nominate a worthy colleague or business by Friday, 20 March 2026, for a chance to celebrate at the prestigious awards program.

The awards program will culminate in a black-tie gala ceremony on Friday, 12 June 2026 at The Star, Sydney. Click here to buy tickets.

There are 36 individual and group categories on offer, acknowledging the full spectrum of professionals from the most senior ranks to the profession’s rising stars.

The individual categories celebrate a range of leading tax professionals, including academics, accounting consultants and students, auditors, bookkeepers, partners, rising stars, mentors, and thought leaders.

The highest-scoring individual winner will also walk away with the prestigious Excellence Award.

The group categories cover bookkeeping firms, boutique firms, business advisory firms, innovators, SMSF firms, start-ups, and organisations that offer exceptional diversity and inclusion programs and wellness initiatives.

Earning national recognition through the awards program allows finalists and winners to stand out from their peers, enhance their professional reputation, and elevate their personal brand – potentially opening doors to new career opportunities.

The gala ceremony will also provide an unparalleled opportunity for finalists and winners to network with industry leaders, peers, and colleagues across the tax profession.

Dale Dixon, general manager of practice and partner advisory at MYOB, said the provider was proud to be the principal partner of this year’s Australian Accounting Awards.

“These awards shine a light not only on technical excellence, innovation and client care, but also on the mentoring, education and community leadership that define great bookkeeping and accounting practices, from emerging talent to established firms shaping the next generation,” Dixon said.

“To all finalists and winners, thank you for the way you support and challenge your clients, guide them through complexity and change, and strengthen the businesses that power Australia’s economy. Your leadership, your generosity in sharing knowledge, and your embrace of new technology will continue to lift both the profession and the business communities you serve.”

Jerome Doraisamy, managing editor of Accountants Daily, added: “It is an enormous privilege for us to host this night of nights for practitioners across the tax and accounting spectrum.”

“Client service delivery in accounting is at a particularly interesting inflection point, presenting both challenges and opportunities for practitioners in firms both big and small. Events like this offer a chance for all to reflect on their accomplishments and to be recognised for their extraordinary and hard work,” he said.

“We look forward to celebrating with you all on the night.”

All businesses and professionals that meet the eligibility criteria from across Australia’s accounting profession are encouraged to participate in the awards program.

Submit your entry or nominate a worthy colleague or business by Friday, 26 March 2026, to be in the running for these prestigious awards. Finalists will be announced on Thursday, 23 April 2026.
