The acquisition is a key step, a statement says, in Tiger & Bear’s long-term strategy to build the best advisory firm in Australia, with the combination with LUNA set to create a “powerful multi-disciplinary and execution-focused advisory platform”.

The combined business will be a full-service offering across legal, accounting, M&A, strategy and corporate advisory, with unparalleled expertise to drive the growth of startups and VCs in Australia, and boast 40 professionals, mostly across Sydney and Melbourne.

LUNA will continue to operate under its brand and with its existing clients.

The statement read: “Both firms share a belief in the power of integrated models. LUNA’s unique combination of legal and accounting expertise has supported thousands of founders to focus on entrepreneurial success and it’s a natural fit with Tiger & Bear’s multidisciplinary offering across strategy, M&A and legal.”

“By combining forces, the group deepens its ability to deliver fast, practical, outcome-driven support - without handoffs, silos, or unnecessary complexity,” it noted.

As part of the transaction, the combined group will invest heavily in technology and AI to transform how advisory services are delivered, “prioritising faster, smarter, and more scalable experiences for clients who are navigating high-growth and high-stakes decisions”, the business said.

Tiger & Bear chief executive Alex Feldman, who will serve as the group chief executive of the combined business, said that the acquisition “allows us to double down on our passion for innovation and backing entrepreneurs and expands our expertise and solutions we can bring to businesses at all stages of life”.

“We’re passionate about supporting the brightest startups and venture capital funds and that’s exactly what LUNA does best. Bringing the two businesses together under one-roof brings scale and reach across the corporate landscape. LUNA is strongly aligned to our values and together we will continue to deliver fast, sharp, and commercial, high-conviction advice and support,” he said.

LUNA chief executive and founder Ronen Heine, who will now serve as managing director of growth and innovation, added: “Joining forces with one of the fastest-growing advisory firms in the country is a huge milestone for LUNA.”

“LUNA was built to increase the chance of entrepreneurial success and this next chapter supercharges that mission. With both firms under one roof, we’re now able to offer founders and VCs deeper capability, broader reach, and more firepower than ever before.”
