Pro Power Month returns with a focus on automation, AI, and firm growth
TechnologyAs accounting firms navigate increasing compliance demands and rising client expectations, one theme is becoming clear—growth is no longer driven by adding more hours or more staff, it's driven by better systems.
In 2026, automation and AI are reshaping how firms operate, from day-to-day bookkeeping through to payroll, reporting, and client management. The firms embracing these changes are not only improving efficiency, they’re unlocking new capacity to grow.
To support this shift, this April Intuit QuickBooks is bringing back Pro Power Month, a month-long virtual learning series designed to help accountants and bookkeepers build practical skills in automation, AI, and modern workflows. Running from 1–30 April, the program includes more than 20 sessions focused on helping firms reduce manual work, streamline processes, and scale more effectively. Each session also contributes to continuing professional development, and participants can attend live or access recordings on demand.
Getting the foundations right
For firms at the start of their QuickBooks journey, Pro Power Month covers the essentials. What Tools Do We Offer Our ProAdvisors to Support Their Clients introduces the Intuit Accountant Suite, and how it differs from QuickBooks Online Accountant, for managing their firm, team, and clients with AI powered tools and greater efficiency.
For those bringing clients across from other platforms, Moving Your Clients to QBO (Data Migration) walks through the data migration process and everything you need to know to make the transition smooth.
Once clients are onboarded, Best Practice Workflow using Intuit Accountant Suite is designed for firms looking to refine how they support client workflow and access. The session covers how you can use AI features and includes practical tips like keyboard shortcuts to improve day-to-day efficiency.
Streamlining bookkeeping and compliance
With clients set up and data flowing in, the focus shifts to best-practice operations. The Bookkeeping Processes: Using Book Review for BAS session walks through the key steps for BAS, right through to lodging BAS with QuickBooks Tax powered by LodgeiT and using GST AI.
As the end of financial year is soon approaching, Get Ready for Year End Tax Returns goes through the tools and processes needed to ensure client data is accurate and ready to lodge.
For firms looking to streamline the lodgement process itself, Tax Lodgement Through QuickBooks Tax explores how LodgeiT can be used for client compliance, reducing manual effort and improving turnaround times.
Preparing for Payday Super
Payday Super is the biggest shake-up to Australian payroll in decades. From 1 July 2026, employers must pay superannuation contributions at the same time as salary and wages—no later than seven business days after payday—replacing the old quarterly deadline entirely. The ATO will have increased visibility over non-compliance, with stricter penalties for late or missed payments, and missing the seven business day window, even by 24 hours, triggers the new Superannuation Guarantee Charge, which includes daily compounding interest and administrative uplifts of up to 60%.
The dedicated Payday Super session covers everything firms need to know about using QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Payroll powered by Employment Hero to support payroll and super compliance under the new legislation—helping teams automate calculations, process payments on time and maintain accurate reporting.
Open Banking and real-time data
Open Banking is continuing to transform how firms access financial data. With secure, real-time bank feeds becoming more widely available, firms can significantly reduce time spent on manual data entry and reconciliation. The Open Banking – Best Practice Connecting Bank Feeds session offers practical guidance on getting set up effectively and managing client transitions.
Serving more clients and growing your firm
As firms modernise their operations, many are also looking to grow. Serving More Clients with QuickBooks Online Advanced demonstrates how to use QuickBooks Online Advanced features to support more complex clients, expanding the range of services a firm can confidently offer.
For firms focused on building their client base, Growing Your Firm and Client Base covers how to find and attract new clients. And for those looking to strengthen their marketing capabilities, Setting Up for Success with Mailchimp opens up the possibilities of using Mailchimp within your practice or on behalf of your clients, from automated marketing campaigns to client communications.
Built for busy professionals
Pro Power Month has been designed with the realities of a busy accounting practice in mind. Participants register once and can choose the sessions most relevant to their needs, attending live or watching on demand throughout April. The range of topics, from foundational setup and data migration through to advanced compliance, AI-powered workflows, and firm growth, ensures there is value for firms at every stage.
With Payday Super and Open Banking accelerating the need for change, the firms that invest in better systems and ongoing education will be best placed to manage compliance, improve efficiency, and deliver greater value to clients.
