Wolters Kluwer’s iFirm is a cloud-based platform designed to help accountants manage clients, jobs and compliance workflows.

In early July, the firm announced a suite of new capabilities within the platform. These included an integrated tax news platform, cloud-paced workflow dashboard for CCH iFirm workpapers, AI-powered virtual agents and integration enhancements across the platform.

“These enhancements are designed to help firms grow by reducing time spent per job and improving visibility across the practice,” Megan Mulia, managing director of Wolters Kluwer’s Asia-Pacific tax and accounting team, said.

“CCH iFirm has undergone significant transformation and continues to evolve through customer co-design and innovation.”

The platform’s new ‘news and research’ feature connects users with tax news and research within the CCH iFirm platform, keeping professionals updated on industry developments.

The update also introduced a cloud-based workflow dashboard for CCH iFirm workpapers, giving managers and partners real-time visibility into workpaper progress. Wolters Kluwer anticipated that this could help firms meet deadlines, proactively manage workloads and reduce write-offs.

CCH iFirm has also harnessed generative AI, introducing an AI-powered virtual agent to provide users with on-demand technical support.

Updates also streamlined workflows within the platform, including one-click document sharing to CCH iFirm Document Vault, two-way data sync between the platform’s client accounting and workpapers capabilities, and a redesigned client portal.

Wolters Kluwer said the new capabilities would boost efficiency and productivity among tax and accounting firms, helping them remain agile and profitable amid a shifting regulatory environment.
