BGL and ASF Audits unveil audit workflow tool

Technology

A new integration means clients will have a direct channel to ASF audits through BGL’s software.

Software firm BGL Corporate Solutions has announced a new integration with ASF audits that will enable clients to notify ASF Audits that a fund is ready for audit.

As ASF Audits progresses with the audit, real-time updates on the audit status are automatically reflected in Simple Fund 360. Final audit outcomes, including status, completion dates, qualifications, and crucial documents, such as the SMSF auditor's report and management letter, are automatically updated in Simple Fund 360, eliminating manual data entry and reducing errors and duplications, BGL said.

The SMSF annual return audit section is also automatically completed in Simple Fund 360, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

This collaboration comes just one month after BGL introduced a new Audit Management screen in Simple Fund 360, which allows clients to access a fund’s complete audit history – including audit documentation – revolutionising how audits are managed.

BGL chief executive officer Daniel Tramontana said the software firm is excited to strengthen its longstanding partnership with the ASF Audits team.

"This integration further streamlines the SMSF audit process in Simple Fund 360, providing significant efficiencies for BGL clients,” he stated.

It also expands on the existing 'Send to Audit' feature, where clients can submit an audit request from Simple Fund 360 directly to ASF Audits.

Jeevan Tokhi, head of product at BGL, said the integration with ASF Audits represents a milestone in its mission to provide cutting-edge, user-friendly solutions for SMSF administration.

“By automating and streamlining the audit workflow process, we save our clients valuable time, streamlining workflows and enhancing accuracy,” he said.
