Reckon’s new payroll app, which will run separately from its app initially designed to manage Single Touch Payroll, will now include JobKeeper functionality to help businesses impacted by COVID-19.

According to Reckon, the app will automatically process the fortnightly JobKeeper payment for each eligible employee.

Reckon chief executive Sam Allert said the new function was integrated into the app in response to the needs of Australian businesses during “a challenging time”.

“The JobKeeper scheme is one of Australia’s biggest ever stimulus measures — it is helping keep people employed and businesses active in the face of tough economic conditions,” Mr Allert said.

“At times like this, everyone is doing their part.

“For Reckon, this means ensuring we’re delivering an affordable solution that makes access to JobKeeper stimulus payments easy for all small and medium businesses no matter how many employees they have.”

Reckon’s earlier STP app has since processed 350,000 pay runs for 51,000 Australian employees, with a total of 380,000 STP reports submitted to the ATO.
