Accounting network locks in agreement on SMSF front

Super

One national accounting network has moved to solidify its relationship with a prominent, cloud-based SMSF software provider.

Countplus has locked in a new partnership agreement with SMSF software provider Class.

The new agreement will see Countplus practices afforded the use of centralised billing and supporting services when using Class Super and Class Portfolio.

Class will also provide Countplus practices with specific resources for implementation assistance and transitioning portfolios to Class.

Class chief executive Kevin Bungard welcomed the agreement, saying that the increasing red tape and regulation facing the industry was driving the uptake of software. He has noted increased pressure on accountants from the regulators, clients and competitors in terms of their reporting and compliance requirements.

Countplus CEO Matthew Rowe, who was appointed in February this year, said Class software was already widely used in the Countplus network.

“This agreement acknowledges our ongoing relationship with Class, the process efficiencies delivered to our firms from Class software and our view of the benefits that cloud-enabled real time solutions provide to our clients,” said Mr Rowe.
