Via social media, CPA Australia has addressed one member’s concerns about an email that was sent to her, which aggressively hit out at those leading a rebellion against the association.
In particular, the email accused the rebel members of diminishing the CPA brand and credibility with the public.

The email, which comes from a gmail account, is not from or endorsed by CPA Australia.
The association is currently investigating the source of the email.
Speaking to Accountants Daily, NSW-based member Brett Stevenson said anonymous commentary and "unauthorised spam" is unhelpful for those accountants who are trying to legitimately impact positive change.
"I would encourage CPA members, CAANZ members and IPA members to speak publicly without the cover of anonymity," he said.
"It says a lot about our profession, I believe, when we hide behind our anonymity," he said.
"It certainly does not convey a strong, resilient profession with members prepared to take stands on matters of principle."
