HLB Mann Judd makes strategic acquisition

Business

Mid-tier firm HLB Mann Judd has announced a strategic acquisition made to expand its service capabilities.

By Staff Reporter 8 minute read

In a move reflecting the mid-tier firm’s desire to offer clients a full service, HLB Mann Judd has acquired a stake in AMVL Migrations, one of the largest independent, multi-service migration firms in Australia.

James Henderson, managing partner of HLB Mann Judd’s Brisbane office, said the deal reflects the growing need for businesses operating in Australia to engage with Asia, and in particular the Asian workforce.

“Skilled migration will play a significant part in laying the foundation for business growth in the future,” Mr Henderson said.

“Our partnership with AMVL reflects our ongoing commitment to providing a range of services to assist our clients in the growth of their businesses, and for HLB Mann Judd to be the ‘Asian business partner’ of choice.”

AMVL’s registered migration agents and specialist consultants will help HLB Mann Judd to advise clients on migration issues and assist businesses and individuals in navigating the visa application process.

This move by the mid-tier firm follows the establishment of HLB Mann Judd Chew, a member firm dedicated to assisting HLB clients with inbound and outbound Asian investment.

AMVL’s Australian staff have moved into HLB’s Brisbane offices. The firm also has offices in Ireland and Malaysia.
