An accounting network has announced the expansion of its insurance division with the completion of a merger with a Perth-based insurance broker.

Carbon Group has announced a merger with Advoc8, a Perth-based insurance broking firm, which will continue to operate out of its Osborne Park office.

The 18th merger since Carbon first launched in 2014 will see Advoc8 director Mark Spencer join as a managing director of Carbon Insurance, working alongside current managing director Con Bochrinis.
Mr Spencer said the opportunity to bolster Carbon’s team and service offerings with the experience of his Advoc8 team was hard to pass up.
“Joining the Carbon Insurance network is a great choice for me as we share the vision of building an insurance brokerage business renowned for its clear and concise, client-oriented focus,” Mr Spencer said.
“Carbon Insurance strives to provide excellent client service and work hard to achieve the best outcomes for their clients, and together we will be able to achieve new heights.”
For Mr Bochrinis, who has headed up Carbon’s insurance division since 2018, the growth of its insurance arm through the merger would open up new doors.
“The expansion of our Carbon Insurance team means we will be able to strive even higher before because of the extra hands on board,” Mr Bochrinis said.
“Mark joins us with a wealth of experience and knowledge, so I’m looking forward to working with him to further improve our services.”
The accounting network had earlier completed a deal with a Melbourne-based accounting firm, Ross Group, in June.
