An Australian-based accounting network has penned a partnership arrangement with a European counterpart in an effort to share technical and education resources without a merger.
DFK International launched a “strategic alliance” with UK-based accounting network AGN International last week, after several months of negotiations late last year.
The two businesses will remain separate entities, but will share access to technical and education-based resources in their client services here and abroad.
The alliance, named Global Connect, will mean local firms like NSW-based DFK Laurence Varnay have formal access to 400 firms, versus 200 before the agreement was formed.
Both DFK International and AGN International stressed a merger is not on the cards.
The move has been communicated to all member firms, and is effective immediately.
Both businesses have a focus on accounting, tax and business advisory services for individual and corporate clients.
