A tax law firm and a boutique accounting practice have joined the Walker Wayland network, expanding the group to 17 firms across Australia and New Zealand.

Tax law firm Sutton Douglass Lawyers, headquartered in Sydney, and accounting firm Ferrari Gardner, based in Dubbo NSW, have joined the mid-tier group.

Walker Wayland Australasia chairman John Dorazio said the network had worked hard over the past year to extend the group's capabilities, with tax law a vital part of that extension.
Sutton Douglass Lawyers is the second law firm to join Walker Wayland Australasia after debt negotiation firm Tax Assure joined in November last year.
"Now Sutton Douglass extends that area of expertise," said Mr Dorazio.
"Sutton Douglass marries strong technical tax knowledge with extensive skills and experience in litigation, investigation and taxation criminal defence work.
"Having these complementary capabilities within the network means we now have tight relationships throughout the tax law process."
Mr Dorazio said the network was also delighted to welcome NSW regional firm Ferrari Gardner.
“Expanding the network through regional areas makes perfect sense," he said.
"Regional firms benefit greatly from access to larger firm capabilities and skills, while the city firms have access to specialised skill sets built up in regional areas – such as agriculture and mining industry skills.”
"Ferrari Gardner has had a connection with us for some time through Orange-based Yates Baker McLean," he added.
Janelle Toole, a partner at Ferrari Gardner, said the regional practice is excited to join the prominent network.
“We can now draw on the capabilities of more than 50 partners and directors as well as hundreds of highly qualified staff. Equally, we have skill sets that will strongly complement the other regional firms and add to the resources of the city-based firms."
