30 Under 30 Awards launches for 2027
BusinessAustralia’s most talented accounting professionals aged 30 and under are invited to enter the 30 Under 30 Awards, which will be held early next year.
The Accountants Daily 30 Under 30 Awards will recognise Australia’s most accomplished young accounting professionals who are redefining and propelling the industry to new heights.
Accountants across Australia are advising clients, embracing new technology, leading teams, improving business, and taking on responsibilities well beyond their years.
Run by Accountants Daily and its parent company, Momentum Media, the 30 Under 30 Awards 2027 offers a national platform to celebrate the outstanding achievements of top-performing accounting professionals aged 30 and under across public practice, tax audit, business advisory, bookkeeping, insolvency, corporate accounting, and the wider profession.
Submit your entry or nominate a colleague by Friday, 5 February 2027, to be in the running for the awards.
The rising stars of accounting are going above and beyond for their clients consistently and achieving outstanding results, but the work they do is not always visible beyond their immediate team, firm, or client base.
The 30 Under 30 Awards provides the opportunity to shine a spotlight on the work accountants are doing on a daily basis, and this visibility extends well beyond the awards night.
The awards will recognise the young professionals for the impact they are having on the industry and place their achievements in front of firm leaders, employers, clients, and accounting professionals across Australia.
They provide a defining opportunity to establish yourself among the profession’s most promising young accountants.
There are 25 individual categories to choose from that span the accounting profession. These include auditor, bookkeeper, business advisory, business advisory, business services accountant, tax and compliance accountants, corporate accountant, accounting professionals in mergers and acquisitions, property specialist accountant, and accounting professionals who specialise in restructuring and insolvency.
Other young professionals who have implemented technology that made accounting work more reliable, efficient, and useful can also submit into the awards. Alongside this, accountants who have improved the quality of sustainability information or helped an organisation understand its environmental, social, and governance performance are encouraged to put themselves forward for the awards.
You can also nominate a colleague who you believe has achieved exceptional results and deserves to be recognised.
Young accountants who put their names forward for the prestigious awards could build a reputation that accelerates their career forward. Recognition as a finalist or winner at the 30 Under 30 Awards could strengthen their professional profile, support promotion and leadership conversations, and distinguish professionals from their peers as their career progresses.
It demonstrates to employers, partners, and clients that accounting professionals are not only showing potential but also delivering tangible results that contribute to the growth of their company or business.
Finalists and winners receive recognition through Accountants Daily, alongside promotional assets that can be shared across LinkedIn, company communications, websites, and professional networks.
The awards program is also an opportunity to prepare a submission so accountants can reflect on and articulate their achievements in a measurable manner and recognise their tremendous progress over the year. Accountants can also reflect on their challenges and how they have overcome them.
To shortlist the finalists, all submissions will undergo a thorough audit process, checking demographic and other information against category-specific eligibility criteria based on the information provided in the submission.
Those submissions deemed eligible against the criteria are reviewed and assessed by a panel of Momentum Media events and editorial team members and executives, along with industry stakeholders where required, to determine the finalists for each category.
Momentum Media professional services managing editor Jerome Doraisamy urged every accounting professional aged 30 and under to put their hand up or put forward a colleague for the awards.
“Young accounting professionals are kicking goals and achieving excellent outcomes for their clients every day while contributing to the growth of their organisations. This is your chance to shout from the rooftops and have those achievements acknowledged on the national stage,” he said.
“Make sure you get your submissions in now to be in the running for the coveted awards and to cement your place in the industry and push your career trajectory to new and exciting heights.”
Submit your entry or nominate a colleague by Friday, 5 February 2027, for a shot at national recognition.
