Operating from Erina with a local powerhouse team of nearly 50 professionals, the merged firm is supported by a group that generates over $50 million in annual revenue.

Fortunity has been one of the region’s most esteemed financial advisory businesses, having aided the community for more than two decades.

The merged entity has offered a broader spectrum of specialised services to clients, such as debt advisory, personal insurance, audit assurance, and CFO advisory, while sustaining the core integrated advisory solutions that both original firms were built upon.

Following its merger last year, the entity continued to run under both brand names; however, Fortunity will now transition to operate under Altus.

This transition represents a significant milestone in the integration of Fortunity into the expanding Altus Private Client Advice Group, which currently manages two Sydney locations and a national network of over 150 specialists.

The strategic alignment centralises tax, accounting, investment strategy, and wealth management, alongside lending and superannuation expertise, within a cohesive national brand.

Reflecting on the broader impact of this merger, Altus Group managing director, Scott Young, emphasised the firm's ongoing commitment to local growth.

“This initiative represents a significant investment in the future of the Central Coast in the career pathways we want to build, the young professionals we want to bring through, and the clients and community we serve,” he said.

“Fortunity has built an outstanding reputation on trusted, long-term relationships and exceptional client service.”

“By becoming Altus, we’re building on that legacy – with greater scale, broader capability and enhanced opportunities for both our people and our clients.”

“Our holistic, team-based approach will make it easier than ever for our professionals to serve clients well.”

The unified Altus Central Coast office is set to maintain its robust regional footprint and local leadership, leveraging the collective scale and deep resources of the wider Altus Group network.

The shift will look to ensure more robust collaboration across diverse financial disciplines while preserving the foundational, relationship-centric advisory model that remains Fortunity’s enduring hallmark.

Speaking to Accountants Daily, Young reflected on the strategic objectives behind the merger.

"Fortunity has built deep relationships and a trusted presence on the Central Coast," Young said. "Altus brings broader specialist capability and additional resources."

"This isn't growth for its own sake – it's a long-term investment in the Central Coast, one that preserves the local relationships clients value while giving them access to greater expertise, capacity and support from a single, connected team."

"A business owner might need accounting and tax advice today, but as they grow, could require an audit, CFO advisory, M&A support when they sell, debt structuring, lending support or specialist wealth advice."

"By bringing these capabilities together, we can spot needs earlier, bring in the right expert sooner, and give advice that considers the client's full picture, rather than one piece of it in isolation."

The rebrand will position Altus as a major force in professional services at a time when clients increasingly need certainty and clarity, and a more sophisticated, integrated approach to advice that keeps pace with their evolving needs.

“The Central Coast is evolving rapidly, with many growing businesses and a wealthier demographic choosing to call the Coast home,” Young said.

“Layer on the recent government budget changes – all adding real complexity to clients’ financial lives – and that’s where we come in, helping them move forward with confidence.”

Altus has reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining a strong and visible presence within the Central Coast business community, continuing long-standing relationships with clients, referral partners, community organisations and centres of influence throughout the region.

“We are proud to be building something significant on the Coast,” Young said.

“Our goal is simple: help private business owners grow and thrive, and give wealthy private families the confidence and clarity they need about their financial futures.”

The transition to the Altus brand is expected to begin formally in August 2026, as clients begin to experience a refreshed identity through updated communications, digital platforms, and local signage across the region in the ensuing months.
