On Monday, Grant Thornton announced the appointment of Cameron Bacon as its new national head of corporate finance.

Alongside his new role, Bacon will continue to work as Grant Thornton’s national head of agribusiness, food and beverage.

“I’m honoured to step into the role of National Head of Corporate Finance and lead our exceptional team through this exciting phase of growth for our firm,” Bacon said.

“My focus remains on delivering strategic, high-impact advice to our clients, and I look forward to continuing to support them through complex transactions and transformative opportunities.”

Bacon brings 25 years’ experience in corporate finance to the role, with experience in mergers and acquisitions, capital raising and growth strategies. He has primarily advised clients in the agribusiness, food and beverage sector, alongside a range of public and private businesses and private equity funds.

He takes over the role from Holly Stiles, who has moved on to lead the Sydney financial advisory team, which encompasses corporate finance, restructuring and forensics.

“Cameron’s appointment as National Head of Corporate Finance is a testament to his unwavering commitment to excellence and strategic leadership,” Stiles said.

“His deep understanding of client needs and industry-specific knowledge provides him with a unique ability to navigate complex transactions, making him an invaluable asset to our firm. I’m confident Cameron will continue to elevate our Corporate Finance practice nationally, and I look forward to the impact his leadership will bring.”
