By Accountants Daily 8 minute read

The first-ever Corporate Accountant Awards spotlight the essential role of finance teams across the country to recognise their unique contributions in driving success for their organisation.

Run in partnership with principal partner CA ANZ, the premier awards program has set a new benchmark for excellence across the profession while celebrating the industry’s senior leaders through to its rising stars.

In its debut year, Accountant’s Daily’s sister brand, Accounting Times, has shortlisted a total of 103 finalists from over 150 submissions in the highly anticipated awards program.

There were a total of 25 categories on offer this year, including 20 individual and five group categories.

Financial analysts, management accountants, internal company auditors, CFOs, accounts payable officers, and corporate accountants were all recognised in the individual categories.

Individual finalists include representatives from WiseTech Global, University of Sydney, Culture Kings, Intrepid Travel, and Parsons & Partners.

The group categories have shortlisted finance teams working across technology, not-for-profit, education, professional services, and sports and entertainment.

Those shortlisted in the group categories include Cricket New South Wales, Corporate Technology Services, The Bend Motorsport Park, the University of Newcastle, and WorkPac Group.

The winners will be announced at the black-tie gala ceremony on Friday, 31 October 2025, at The Four Seasons in Sydney. Click here to buy tickets.

The judging process

The Corporate Accountant Awards program, in conjunction with event stakeholders Accounting Times, Momentum Media, and a panel of leading accounting professionals, has developed a robust awards methodology to form the backbone for assessing, analysing and benchmarking Australia’s leading professionals and teams in the corporate accounting sector.

All submissions underwent a thorough audit process, checking demographic and other information against category-eligible criteria based on the information provided in the submission.

Those submissions deemed eligible against submission criteria were reviewed and assessed by a panel of Momentum Media events and editorial team members and executives, plus industry stakeholders where required, to determine the finalists for each category.

Finalist submissions will now be delivered to a panel of respected professionals and business leaders, who assess each submission against the criteria of each award category.

The judges will score each part of the submission across the category’s criteria, giving an aggregated score. Several judges will individually assess each submission for each category, offering a blended score and assessment.

The combined judging scores for each submission for each category will be tabulated, with the highest-scoring submission deemed the winner.
