Accounting firm PKF this week has announced the retirement of Martin Matthews, effective 30 June 2025.

PKF said Matthews has been an integral part of the firm for over 10 years.

"Martin leaves behind a legacy of leadership, dedication, and professional excellence that has significantly contributed to the growth and success of PKF and its audit and assurance division," the firm said.

"Martin has been a consistent and strong leader, building deep relationships within PKF locally and nationally, and in our community."

The firm said Matthews had also set a leading example in effectively balancing a successful career with the important obligations of being a husband to Nerissa and father to his children Lachlan, Ella, and Sam.

"PKF has been a huge part of my life, and I’ve been fortunate to work alongside some very talented people," said Matthews, commenting on his retirement.

"The relationships I’ve built here, both with colleagues and clients, have meant the world to me."

PKF said Matthews had been a dedicated leader and colleague, consistently demonstrating commitment to the firm's clients and its team.

"We are looking forward to Martin continuing a level involvement within PKF beyond for years to come, and we are incredibly grateful for his contributions,” said Bob Bell, managing director, PKF Sydney and Newcastle.

"We wish Martin and his family all the very best in the next chapter and look forward to celebrating his career and contributions."
