The awards are being run with support from Intuit QuickBooks, which has signed on as the principal partner this year.

QuickBooks is an accounting software package that offers accounting applications and cloud-based versions that accept business payments, manage and pay bills, and payroll functions, and has been developed by Intuit.

The software is used by 300,000 accountants and 7 million small businesses around the world.

Speaking about the partnership, Intuit Australia head of marketing, accountant and advisor group, Damien Greathead said: “It’s an honour to be the principal partner for the fourth year with the Australian Accounting Awards, recognising high-performing individuals and firms driving industry-leading innovation.”

He continued: “At Intuit QuickBooks, we’re all about supporting the tech and talent that powers the future of the Aussie accounting industry. We’ll do all that we can to help accountants and bookkeepers harness the power of technology to improve productivity, create efficiencies and deliver great value for their clients.”

Now in its 11th year, the Australian Accounting Awards are the most anticipated program in the accounting industry and identify the leading lights of the profession.

These include accountants (including superannuation and property specialist accountants), auditors, bookkeepers, chief financial officers, partners, and young accountants.

The awards will also showcase the achievements of boutique firms, business advisory firms, SMSF firms, start-ups, and networks.

Alongside this, thought leaders, rising stars, mentors, and the top innovators in the industry will be rewarded for their hard work and dedication to propelling the accounting industry forward.

The awards ceremony presents an opportunity for members of the accounting profession to network with industry leaders and peers while celebrating their and their colleagues’ successes.

Securing an award will distinguish firms and professionals from their competitors, strengthen their position in the industry by elevating their personal brand, and unlock new career opportunities for professionals.

Winners will be announced at the black-tie gala ceremony on Thursday, 20 June 2024 at Hyatt Regency Sydney.
