Tax & Super Australia rebrands to reflect broader base
BusinessThe 103-year-old not-for-profit organisation says membership now takes in a wide range of finance professionals.
Tax & Super Australia has rebranded itself as the Institute of Financial Professionals Australia (IFPA).
The not-for-profit organisation said it was to recognise its broadening member base, which now includes professionals in financial services as well as those in the tax and superannuation industries.
“The rebrand sends a message about what and who we stand for, reflecting our goal to be the association of choice for SME practitioners and advisers,” said IFPA CEO Pippa McKee.
“Whilst other associations are focusing on broad political agendas; product providers and larger corporate practices, our objective is to be an approachable and supportive association that listens to members and responds to the needs of the independent practitioner.”
The organisation said the change was instigated by the convergence of tax and accounting, superannuation and financial planning services, with clients increasingly looking for a seamless advice experience.
Incorporating the needs of small to medium practitioners within the industry and becoming a trusted source where professionals could network and receive support, technical expertise and real-world solutions was its aim, said IFPA.
The not-for-profit said advocating on its behalf of its members — small and medium practices within the industry — would be strengthened by expanding its membership base to include a greater number of professionals and a broader range of professions.
“Tax & Super Australia began over 100 years ago and has a strong heritage that serves as a foundation for future growth,” said IFPA president and chair Stephen Ware.
“We wanted to weave our heritage throughout the new brand, while modernising it and our organisation for a new generation of members.”
The new branding draws on the history of its original 1919 Saint George and the Dragon logo.
