BDO bolsters Greater Western Sydney presence

Business

BDO has marked its 12th office opening nationwide, this time in Greater Western Sydney.

The firm’s new shopfront, located in Parramatta, will provide a whole-of-firm service offering to the Greater Western Sydney (GWS) region and comes in response to increased demand being felt across the region.

“GWS is tipped to be the fastest growing economy in Australia over the next two decades and this is the first step in a long-term strategy to give us a physical presence that will allow us to connect more deeply with clients,” BDO Sydney office managing partner, Grant Saxon, said.

“With flexibility front of mind in a post-COVID environment, BDO’s GWS office will also provide an alternative location for staff to work flexibly from. Over time, we expect there will be a natural migration of many of our people who are residents in the region, and who want to work closer to home.”

The new office will initially host 20 partners and staff focussed on audit, tax, business services and advisory services, a statement from BDO said, noting that it’s the firm’s intention to grow this capacity to approximately 100 people.

“The GWS office will also allow BDO to recruit directly from the large talent pool of professionals in the region, tapping into one of the youngest, fastest growing and most diverse populations in the nation,” Mr Saxon added.
