Ms Grofski faced the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Friday following an ASIC investigation into her conduct as managing director at Global Merces.
Ms Grofski was released on bail and the matter was adjourned to 16 July 2021 before the Brisbane Magistrates Court for further mention.
The Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions is prosecuting the matter after a brief referral from ASIC.
ASIC in January last year applied to have Global Merces wound up, before the Federal Court of Australia ordered that Global Merces Funds Management Ltd (Global Merces) in March be wound up on just and equitable grounds.
The court appointed Mr Anthony Connelly and Michael Hill, both of McGrathNicol, as joint liquidators of the company.
