A WA-based accounting and bookkeeping network has announced its second merger of the week, as it looks to expand its service offering in Victoria.
Carbon Group has announced a merger with Melbourne-based chartered accounting firm Bosker Accounting.
The deal will see Carbon providing accounting as a service offering to the Victorian market, building on its bookkeeping presence in the state through previous mergers with BAS Attack Bookkeeping and Books in Shape.
Bosker Accounting’s Igor Hnatko will join Carbon Group as a partner and team up with Allison Gardiner, who has led the Melbourne team over the last couple of years.
“In my view, the key to help my existing clients and future clients supercharge their growth and benefit from an established suite of services was to align with a rapidly growing accounting firm with a client-centric approach,” Mr Hnatko said.
“I had an opportunity to meet with Carbon’s CFO Mason Dunn and co-founder Nathan Hood, and we realised that our passion for helping clients and our client-centric philosophy was perfectly aligned. From then on, the process was smooth, and we are now proud to announce this exciting news.”
The latest merger comes after the group announced its foray into Queensland earlier this week with a merger with Brisbane-based bookkeeping firm Thrive Advisors.
Today’s merger will mark the 20th deal for Carbon since 2014.
