A rapidly expanding fintech business has appointed a former Sage managing director as its new chairman and investor, in an attempt to help drive the company’s strategic direction.

Mobile app software provider MyFirmsApp has snared Gavin Disney-May as its new chairman and investor, as the company looks to expand on an ARR increase of over 200 per cent in the last six months.
Boasting a technology career spanning over 30 years, Mr Disney-May has held several senior positions at the Sage Group, where he was responsible for driving global growth strategies.
“MyFirmsApp is a truly disruptive fintech firm, which prides itself on putting accountants first by helping them to embrace new mobile app technology,” said Mr Disney-May.
“By providing new ways of communicating and interacting with their clients, MyFirmsApp has become an integral part of the new mobile ecosystem, building a global community of tech-savvy accounting firms.”
MyFirmsApp CEO Joel Oliver lauded the newly appointed chairman.
“Gavin has a great philosophy, with a shared vision and similar values to that of the existing MFA team. He will help drive continued future improvements for clients and has proven experience in helping organisations reach their true potential at key growth periods.
“By leveraging this, we believe MFA will continue to put accountants first across borders, creating new partnerships and unlocking new corporate relationships,” Mr Oliver concluded.
MyFirmsApp has continued to expand internationally, with the firm’s product now available in five countries and a user base in excess of 150,000.
