Daniel Rabie will step into the role, effective immediately, in which he will oversee the strategic direction of Reckon’s shared service functions – namely IT, marketing, HR and development.

Mr Rabie, who has been with the company for the past five years in the role of strategic director, said he hopes to continue Reckon’s focus on accelerating outcomes and adding value through shared services.

According to Reckon, the newly created role of COO is yet another step in executing the company’s three-year strategic plan.

Reckon director and group CEO, Clive Rabie, said the COO role directly supports the increasing uptake of cloud-based products.

“The COO role is an integral part of our organisational architecture, ensuring that operations continue to consistently support and align with our strategic objectives,” he said.

Speaking about his appointment, Mr Rabie echoed the sentiments of his CEO.

“Ensuring our internal processes energise and foster agility and productivity is something I am passionate about and I am pleased to move into the role of chief operating officer," he said.

"This role will be instrumental in accelerating our cloud, marketing and development opportunities and I’m inspired to drive the business forward in this capacity."
