Prosperity Advisers Group has confirmed 22 promotions across its financial services, business services, tax, operations, and client support teams.

The accounting and financial advisory firm said it is investing in its team and using technology to handle low-value tasks, so the team can focus on high-value work.

Founder and chief executive Allan McKeown (pictured) said: “There's a lot of noise right now about AI replacing people in our industry, but our view is the opposite.”

“AI gives us an opportunity to double down on our people, not step back from them, freeing our team to focus on the work that matters most: the thinking, the advice and the relationships,” McKeown said.

The firm has promoted Rocky Johnston and Laura Balding as associate directors in the firm’s Brisbane financial services and Newcastle business services and tax teams respectively.

Further, within the firm’s financial services division, Adam Metcalf was promoted to financial adviser, Sandy Macleod to associate adviser, and John Mark Cumal to SMSF supervisor.

Catherine Marinov and Zubin Kaiser were promoted to manager in the firm’s business services and tax team.

Further in the firm’s business services and tax team, Basanta Chapagain, Mary Chio, Katrina Dewar, Regine De Guzman, Marjorie Viloria, Doris Bagtas, and Kathleen Climaco have advanced to senior accountant roles, with Aila Movilla and Elise Armour progressing to intermediate accountant roles.

Additionally, Dominic David has been promoted to senior bookkeeper in the firm’s business services and tax team.

In the firm’s operations and client support team, Ruth Dixon was appointed senior operations and governance officer, Emma Street and Belinda Kent were promoted to senior payroll officer, Sue Devon was promoted to senior administration assistant, and Lee-Anne Beshara was promoted to personal assistant.

“At Prosperity, we are proud to provide a workplace that nurtures career progression and supports our people,” McKeown said.

“These promotions recognise the significant contributions our people make to clients, colleagues, and the firm’s growth, and we look forward to their continued success.”
