Intuit announces new product lead amid APAC expansion
AppointmentsThe global technology platform has appointed a former senior product manager from Xero as its head of product to drive expansion across Asia-Pacific.
Intuit has confirmed that former Xero general manager of product Matthew Miles (pictured) will lead product for APAC to drive the next phase of its APAC expansion, fast-tracking the shift from a system of record to a system of intelligence.
In his role, Miles will help eliminate the fragmentation tax for businesses, unlocking growth for small and mid-market enterprises through AI-automated compliance and financial management, allowing business owners to focus on scaling their operations.
In addition, Miles will lead the product vision for APAC to ensure that core AI and platform foundations are tailored to its regulatory and operational nuances by creating fragmented market requirements into a platform-based solution.
Miles formerly held roles at rival online accounting software Xero, as general manager of product for over a year until July 2025, during which he was accountable for product and loss across the company’s growth, platform, and customer identity and access management, global portfolios.
Before that, he was head of product for customer acquisition at Intuit’s rival for over two years, following four years as senior product manager for e-commerce at the company.
According to LinkedIn, Miles was educated at Product School, General Assembly, and is currently completing a master of business administration in entrepreneurial management at the Australian Institute of Business.
The former Xero general manager also spent one year at Origin Energy as lead digital product manager for customer acquisition, following his service at Belong (powered by Telstra) as digital product lead for customer experience.
Intuit APAC regional vice president Suzy Nicoletti said: “As we deepen our investment across APAC, Matthew brings an invaluable understanding of how to scale international platforms in complex regulatory environments.”
“Our customers across Australia and Asia Pacific count on QuickBooks and Mailchimp as true growth engines for their businesses. I’m confident Matt will help us make our platform even more essential to their success.”
This appointment follows Intuit’s partnership with Anthropic in February and OpenAI in November 2025.
