Moore Australia nabs former KPMG partner
AppointmentsThe professional services network has a new director within its governance and risk advisory division, with the recent addition of Rochelle Hawkins.
The appointment is expected to strengthen the firm’s advisory capability across multiple industries, including education, healthcare, local and state government affairs, Indigenous organisations, not-for-profit and tourism.
Hawkins brings experience leading complex governance, risk, compliance, assurance, and safeguarding engagements across the Government, Health, Education, Ageing, and Human Services sectors, according to the firm, which also highlighted advisory capabilities for a range of bodies in regulatory reform, governance uplift, and enterprise risk management.
Moore additionally praised Hawkins’ ability to translate complex regulatory and inquiry outcomes into practical reforms that strengthen organisational capability whilst prioritising vulnerable communities.
In her former role as Partner at KPMG, Hawkins established and developed a nationally-recognised specialist risk advisory practice, in which her responsibilities included strategic planning, financial performance, quality oversight and leadership.
According to Moore Australia (Vic/Tas) CEO Steven Sakkas, the appointment reflects the firm’s ongoing and strategic investment in GRA as a core growth area.
On Hawkins’ experience, he said: “She brings a rare combination of technical depth, strategic leadership and practical delivery. Her experience advising boards and government in complex, high-risk environments will be invaluable to our clients.”

The appointment will see Hawkins join Moore Australia’s Melbourne office.
