CPA Australia has revealed the reappointment of two current directors, the election of a new director, election of a president and chair, as well as two deputy presidents.

Dale Pinto was re-elected as president and chair of the CPA board for another 12-month term in conjunction with both Warren McRae and Louise Cox being re-elected as deputy presidents for the same period.

Cox was also reappointed, alongside Bernard Che-Wai Poon, to the board of directors for three-year terms, effective from 1 October 2025.

The CPA board now had nine confirmed members consisting of Pinto, McRae, Cox, Sarah Adam-Gedge, Julie Crisp, Kaushika Jayalath, Che-Wai Poon, Anna Quinn, and Anthony Wright.

From the appointments and re-elections, it was noted they were made by the appointments council, comprising members of CPA’s divisional councils, in accordance with the body’s constitution.

Speaking on the various reappointments, Pinto said he was honoured to have been re-elected as president and chair of CPA Australia.

“It is a genuine privilege to continue serving our members in this capacity for another 12 months,” he said.

“I would also like to congratulate Warren McRae and Louise Cox on their re-election as Deputy Presidents for the coming year. I look forward to working closely with them and our fellow directors as we strive together to deliver even greater value to all members of CPA Australia.

“We warmly congratulate Louise Cox and Bernard Che-Wai Poon on their re-appointment for a three-year term, and we look forward to welcoming Carmen Wee, who will join the board as a new director once the regulatory steps are completed.”

Adding to this announcement, Pinto noted that CPA would see the retirement of Bryan Chung from the board following a three-year term.

“Bryan made valuable contributions to the Board and its subcommittees during his tenure. I’d like to express my deepest thanks to Bryan for his significant contributions as a director and for his dedication to the members of CPA Australia,” Pinto said.
