BDO Australia has named four new partners across audit, business services and tax in its Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane offices.

The newly appointed partners, Zubin Sadri, Stephen Roche, Garry Millhouse and Matt Taylor, were appointed to further the firm’s growth strategy and trajectory, which has made substantial progress this year.

The Melbourne office welcomed Sadri as a partner in corporate and international tax and Roche as a partner in audit.

BDO said Sadri had over 20 years of experience advising multinational groups on complex cross-border arrangements, structuring and mergers and acquisitions, while Roche had over three decades of professional experience spanning external audit, IPO and transaction assurance, controls assurance and accounting advisory.

Sadri was noted to have worked across Australia, the Asia-Pacific region and the US, providing practical and timely tax advice to clients in industries such as consumer and industrial, life sciences, technology and natural resources and energy.

David Garvey, office managing partner of BDO Melbourne, said the addition of Sadri and Roche would bring value to both clients and colleagues.

“Zubin and Stephen bring a wealth of experience and insight to our firm, each with outstanding track records in their respective fields,” he said.

“Their appointments significantly strengthen our capability in supporting clients with complex tax and assurance needs and will play an important role in delivering on our growth strategy.”

The Sydney office has seen the addition of Millhouse as a partner in business services and is set to be based in BDO’s greater Western Sydney office, located in Parramatta.

Millhouse has over 30 years of experience as a trusted advisor to private companies, family groups and high-net-worth individuals.

It was noted Millhouse also had extensive experience in group structuring, tax planning and compliance, business advisory, accounts preparation, financial analysis and succession and estate planning.

BDO said: “As the Greater Western Sydney region continues to experience strong economic growth ahead of major infrastructure developments, including the Western Sydney International Airport and Aerotropolis, Garry’s extensive experience in the region positions him to effectively support private companies and family groups as they pursue new opportunities and navigate growth challenges.”

Rounding out the new appointments was the Brisbane office with the welcoming of Taylor as a partner in the audit and assurance division.

With over 21 years of experience in external audit and assurance services for a range of companies, including global diversified groups and privately held entities, Taylor was set to bring a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach to working with clients and finding the balance between commercial outcomes and technical compliance.
