Grant Thornton welcomed Keith To as principal and Brooke Burgess, Kelsey Johnson, Nicole Lawrence, Tam Goldin, Nithya Gopalakrishnan, Samantha Sing Key, Beau Chaperon, Rashtin Fazal and George Sinanis as partners.
The newly promoted partners and principal would be set to work across different service lines including audit and assurance, financial advisory, sustainability reporting advisory, private business and tax advisory, transfer pricing and corporate tax.
Greg Keith, chief executive of Grant Thornton Australia, said previous appointments combined with these internal promotions brought the total number of partners in the firm to 182 as of July 1.
“I am delighted to extend a warm welcome to our new partner and principal cohort. These promotions stand out to me for their diverse backgrounds and the passion they have brought to their careers,” he said.
“It was clear to me as they advanced through our promotion process, they have been singularly focused on the success of their clients, which in turn has made them successful at Grant Thornton.”
Keith added that the new partners had also been made team leaders in the firm’s partnership with Habitat for Humanity to expand their responsibilities and experience.
“Our partnership has just returned from Cambodia, where in collaboration with Habitat for Humanity, we built 13 homes for those most in need. We chose to make each of these new partners team leaders to raise their profile within our partnership,” he said.
“They responded with care, resilience and enthusiasm and were eager to lead amongst their peers. I am looking forward to seeing each of them flourish in their new roles.”
Tam Goldin, newly appointed financial advisory partner in Melbourne, said she was honoured to have joined the firm’s partnership team.
“My passion for transaction services is driven by a deep commitment to delivering strong commercial outcomes for my clients,” she said.
“I make it a priority to understand each client’s unique needs and goals, which enables me to provide the best possible advice. I am excited to bring a fresh perspective to the team and look forward to collaborating with my fellow partners as I embark on this new and exciting change in my career.”
Similar sentiments were echoed by sustainability reporting advisory partner in Sydney, Samantha Sing Key, who said she was looking forward to further exploring the sustainability space.
“The landscape of sustainability reporting is constantly evolving, and many businesses in Australia are navigating this for the first time. I care about guiding my clients through the technical requirements to practical solutions that are proportionate to their needs,” she said.
“I am thrilled to join the partnership as part of our growing sustainability reporting advisory team and look forward to the guidance and support from my fellow partners and peers as I commence this new stage in my career.”
Rashtin Fazal, transfer pricing partner in Melbourne, said: “Throughout my journey at Grant Thornton, I have been encouraged to leverage my extensive industry knowledge to provide exceptional client advisory services.”
