Bentleys NSW has announced the appointment of Chris Ryan to director of tax in a move to strengthen its tax leadership team and client offerings.
Bentleys welcomed Ryan to the role and noted that he would bring extensive experience from his time in private practice and senior executive roles within the ATO.

Nigel Banks, Bentleys NSW chairman, said he was thrilled to be welcoming Ryan to the firm’s tax leadership team.
“Chris joins us with an exceptional track record in businesses and private client tax advisory. His expertise complements our existing team and significantly enhances the services we provide. His deep knowledge and insights will be a valuable asset to our clients,” Banks said.
“We are constantly evolving to meet the changing needs of our clients. Chris’ appointment is a key part of our ongoing strategy to grow our services and deepen our tax expertise.”
According to the firm, Ryan was set to provide specialist tax advice to a diverse client base and would focus on private group structuring, succession planning, and the strategic use of trusts.
The appointment came as part of Bentleys NSW’s broader strategy to expand its business advisory and management solutions offerings and Ryan’s extensive network would also contribute to and support expanding the firm’s local and international reach.
Ryan said he was looking forward to joining the Bentleys NSW network and working with local and international clients.
