First Australian appointed president of DFK International

Global association of independent accounting firms DFK International has appointed Stephen Bushell as the first-ever Australian president of its board.

Mr Bushell, managing partner of accountancy and business advisors at DFK Gooding Partners in Perth, has been appointed the organisation’s next board president at its recent annual conference in Miami, Florida.
Mr Bushell said he is eager to take on the role and was humbled by the appointment.
“I am truly honoured and excited to assume the google of board president of DFK International,” said Mr Bushell.
“This appointment not only reflects the growing influence and capabilities of the Australian accounting and consulting industry on the global stage, but also the trust and confidence placed in me by DFK International.”
“I look forward to working with our member firms to drive collaboration, innovation and value creation for our members and clients worldwide.”
The firm said with over three decades of experience in the industry, Mr Bushell displays excellent leadership skills and a core understanding of the challenges and opportunities that accounting firms face in today’s climate.
Mr Bushell’s previous leadership roles with DFK included serving as chairman of DFK Australia and New Zealand as well as on the DFK Asia Pacific Executive Committee.
Recently departed DFK International Board president Harriet Greenberg said she is thrilled by the appointment of Mr Bushell.

Executive director of DFK International, Bill Wright, said the selection of Mr Bushell was supported by his comprehensive experience and vision.
