Experienced pair promoted to partner at Cor Cordis

Appointments

The appointments reflect the development of the firm and the growth in talent, says its CEO.

Business advisory firm Cor Cordis has promoted two employees with over 15 years of experience to the level of partner.

Cor Cordis CEO Daniel Juratowitch said the appointments of Robyn Karam and Tony Wright coincided with the recent development of the firm.

“We welcome Robyn and Tony to the partnership,” said Mr Juratowitch. “Their promotions not only reflect their contributions to the growth of our firm but also in delivering excellence to our clients.”

“We look forward to their continued success as the next generation of our firm’s partners.”

Ms Karam brought experience in corporate restructuring, insolvency and forensics, and specialised in forensic accounting and expert witness engagements.

She had been appointed to lead Cor Cordis’ forensic practice nationally as the firm looked to grow its reputation in that space and develop specialist teams in each office, it said.

Ms Karam’s previous roles included as a senior consultant for Aon as well as a principal and registered liquidator for BRI Ferrier.

The firm said her expertise in corporate insolvency largely involved continuing to trade businesses under voluntary administration with the aim of successfully restructuring their operations to maximise their chances of surviving. In recent years Ms Karam was also the lead of one of the largest safe harbour assignments.

Mr Wright brought with him over 15 years of experience working across multiple forms of external administrations including receiverships, voluntary administrations, deed administrations and liquidations.

Mr Wright previously worked for Deloitte Australia as a principal as well as an investigator at ASIC for almost five years.

Cor Cordis said his experience as an investigator meant that he understood the needs of directors, financiers and the corporate regulator. Mr Wright was also appointed as the people partner for the firm's NSW offices.

Founded in 2006, Cor Cordis has grown to become one of Australia’s largest business advisory firms with over 20 partners and 130 staff.
