The appointment will bolster the firm’s M&A advisory and dispute valuation practice.

Grant Thornton has welcomed Jeremy Bogue as a partner in the firm's financial advisory team based in Perth.

Mr Bogue has approximately 18 years of experience spanning legal practice, private equity and corporate finance advisory across Australia and South East Asia.

He has extensive experience in many industries with a focus on the energy and natural resources sector.

“Jeremy brings a unique set of skills to our business which will be incredibly valuable both to our clients in Perth, and more broadly across Grant Thornton,” David Hodgson, partner and head of financial advisory at Grant Thornton, said.

“We’ve been working closely with Jeremy as a consultant over the past six months and we are delighted he joins us in a permanent role as partner.

“His expertise in areas such as independent expert reports – required, for example, in connection with takeover bids and related party transactions – and dispute valuation work, as well as his knowledge of the energy and natural resources sector, complements our already strong transaction advisory, M&A advisory and financial modelling offering.

“Jeremy will be a fantastic addition to the team, and we look forward to expanding our offering to clients in his areas of specialisation.”

Prior to returning to Australia in April 2022, Mr Bogue led the Capital Markets practice at KPMG in Singapore providing lead financial advisory and independent financial advisory services to mid-cap companies, and more recently was also involved in building a dedicated dispute valuation practice.

His experience included being lead financial adviser to a subsea engineering, construction and services company serving the offshore energy industry in relation to the divestment of its constituent businesses and major assets in connection with a Chapter 11 restructuring.

He was also an independent financial adviser to the directors of an industrial property REIT in relation to its S$3 billion merger on the Singapore Stock Exchange.

Mr Bogue said the corporate finance practice had experienced tremendous growth in recent years and was highly regarded in the Australian marketplace.

“I look forward to leveraging my international experience to contribute to the ongoing success of the group and the broader firm, at what is an exciting time in the Western Australian market,” he said.

“I am excited to have returned to Australia and am thankful for the opportunity to be part of Grant Thornton’s Financial Advisory group.

Mr Bogue’s key areas of focus at Grant Thornton will be working across the firm’s M&A lead financial advisory, the M&A independent financial advisory and dispute valuation advisory services.
