BDO has confirmed that Kay Kelly will be joining its IFRS advisory team in Perth as an associate director next week.

Ms Kelly, who has more than 20 years’ experience in transaction and technical advisory, most recently worked in EY’s technical consulting group, specialising in interpreting regulatory accounting frameworks and providing advice to a wide range of private and public sector clients.

“We are very fortunate to have found someone of Kay’s experience and intellect. Our IFRS advisory team has seen considerable demand growth in recent months and Kay’s appointment shows our continued commitment to supporting our clients in this highly specialised and technical area,” said Wayne Basford, BDO’s Asia-Pacific IFRS leader.

“The wealth of experience, insights and knowledge Kay will bring to the BDO IFRS advisory team will undoubtedly further boost the group’s ability to instruct on the accounting, tax and legal implications of a host of complex transactions.”

Prior to her working experience at EY, Ms Kelly held contract roles with a number of public and private companies, including Alinta Energy and Wesfarmers Energy.
