Kerry Humphreys (PhD, CA) is an Associate Professor at UNSW Sydney. She teaches and researches in behavioural management accounting, and supervises research students in the Honours and PhD programs. Kerry is an inaugural Scientia Fellow at UNSW Sydney, where her research investigates when managers make effective decisions incorporating strategic and performance information, and how new managers can learn to make better decisions using this information. She has published in leading academic journals, and received local and international research funding. Kerry has received university, disciplinary and national teaching awards in recognition of her curricula development and teaching, including the Pearson Education Accounting/Finance Lecturer of the Year award.

Steve has enjoyed a successful 30 plus year career in financial services. He began his career in New Zealand, then England working first in banking and then in stock broking. In 1987, he became Australia’s youngest certified investment planner (ACIP).
He established the Dealer Group National Mutual Financial Planning in Victoria in 1991.
Steve joined First State Funds management in 1993 and presided over Victoria’s growth from $40 million pa inward flow of funds to more than $1 billion pa.
Steve then accepted a global partnership in Deloitte, where he held the position of Director and CEO of Deloitte Financial Services (DFS), a national High Net Worth dealer group. After re-engineering the business, he completed the successful sale of DFS in 2001, managing the transition until late 2002.
After a 12- month sabbatical he came back to the industry and created Australia’s first specialist financial services M & A group Kenyon Prendeville. Kenyon Prendeville was the first M&A business specialising in financial services and it went on to be the predominant broker until 2011. Roman Kaczynski (CPA) started his public practice career in 1984, working in small and mid-sized practices before starting Halifax Business Consulting in 1998. It was during his time at Halifax that he was introduced to Accountancy Insurance, initially as their external accountants in 2004 in the early stages of operation, and later as a user and advisor on their tax audit insurance product, Audit Shield.
Roman’s understanding of tax audit insurance and Audit Shield saw him assist and train claims staff at Vero (one of Australia’s largest insurance companies), and in 2006 he was appointed by Vero to review and recommend all claims over $2,000.
Roman has a combined strength of accounting practice experience and claims expertise. He has provided input into the ongoing development of Accountancy Insurance’s tax audit insurance product, Audit Shield.
