Deloitte launches pioneering new service

Deloitte Private has released its own cloud-based application as part of a revolutionary new accounting service.

The just-launched Deloitte Private Connect service includes an innovative cloud-based technology platform as well as increased face time with an adviser.

In launching the service, national managing partner for Deloitte Private, David Hill, said Deloitte Private Connect redefines the way the big four firm delivers accounting and tax solutions.

“Deloitte Private Connect combines shared ledger accounting, automated bookkeeping and benchmarking, an online portal and dashboard as well as many other digital technologies to redefine the way our private clients work with us, in real time, on any device,” he said.

“With Deloitte Private Connect, we have positively embraced the disruption to the accounting and tax profession on account of cloud technologies and created an offering that transforms the way business owners experience accounting services,” added Mr Hill.

“Deloitte Private Connect represents a fundamental shift in the accounting and tax function for our clients and for us.”

Mr Hill described Deloitte Private Connect as an 'ecosystem' built around a family of business apps.

Two core apps, Transact, which automates the bookkeeping function, and Analyser, which enables business owners to access live financial reports and business analytics, form the basis of the platform, with clients feeding in data through third-party applications.

Currently, both MYOB and Xero plug into the system, with other software providers including Intuit and Reckon set to follow suit shortly.

The apps automatically populate an interactive dashboard, allowing business owners to quickly review key metrics in real time.

The complete service, which includes regular face time with a Deloitte adviser, is available on a tiered subscription model with fixed monthly fees.

“We recognised that fixed monthly payments make it easier for our clients to manage their cash flow,” said Mr Hill.

“We have adjusted our business model and workflow management accordingly, to provide our clients with certainty as well as best-in-class services.
