Advocacy Initiative of the Year

OVERVIEW

Businesses in the accounting industry that challenge inequitable norms and push for progress are effectively building the reputation of our industry as one that is inclusive, fair and diverse.

This award recognises the business in the accounting industry in Australia that best utilised its resources and position to champion a cause or causes in 2017. Examples of causes include gender equality, Indigenous representation and charitable initiatives.

Based on assessment of advocacy-related initiatives, this award considers how the business looks to make a positive difference in the accounting space or, more broadly, communities in Australia that are challenged by inequitable or unjust circumstances.
